Zawodny Moving to Java Catchy headline :-) No, Jeremy Zawodny is working with Java, not moving to Java. It should be really fun seeing a Perl guy wading through Java classes. They're both really cool languages, for completely different purposes.

Personal advice: Grab a good editor. I suggest Eclipse. Java *is* verbose. Good editors help with that. Verbosity helps making code navigable and legible. It's a Good Thing (tm).
